Camp de Mar is a small resort with an attractive fine sandy beach with a few hotels, an 18 hole golf course, residential villas and holiday homes. Situated 32 km west of Mallorca’s international airport and approximately 20 minutes west of Palma, this quiet resort enjoys the more favourable winter weather experienced in the south west of Mallorca. The main features of the area are its beach, the golf course and the pretty views of the bay, surrounding mountains and soft countryside. The best known of the few hotels close or fronting onto the sea is the 5 star Hotel Dorint Sofitel Royal Golf Resort & Spa, other hotels include the Hotel Rui, Grupotel Playa Hotel and the Lido Palace Hotel,

The 6,090 metre championship 18 hole golf course, known as the Golf de Andratx, is a much liked hilly and challenging golf course. The nearest towns to Camp de Mar are Paguera, 3 kms away and Andratx Village and Puerto Andratx which are less than 10 minutes by car. Both the local buses and taxis provide transport to other areas including the capital city Palma.

Camp de Mar has a number of cafés and restaurants, including a rock restaurant in the sea reached by a wooden walkway. In addition there is a small supermarket, a few shops, a pharmacy and a newsagent.

Overlooking the beautiful torquise waters of Camp de Mar bay are several villas & apartments. The British developer Taylor Woodrow has accounted for the greatest number of new holiday properties, all small developments, namely La Perla, Es Talaiot and Los Altos de Golf all built close or alongside the golf course. In addtion First Mallorca is regularly selling properties in La Colina de Golf, Aldea de Golf, Porto de Mar and occasionally the impressive villas at Biniorella.
