Baleares International College has been in operation since 1957 and serves the expatriate community in Mallorca. With two excellent campuses to choose from, Sant Agustí for children aged 2 – 11, and Sa Porrassa where children are accepted from the age of 3 and remain at the school until they have completed their Advanced Level examinations at the age of 18, BIC is an excellent choice for all families living in Mallorca.

Teaching staff are fully qualified in their subjects, the great majority having completed their training in Britain.

The school follows the English National Curriculum, and offers Spanish/Catalan (from Nursery), German (from Year 3 for native speakers and Year 5 for non-native) and French (optional from Year 7) language classes as part of the curriculum as well.

Part of the Orbital Education Group of schools, Baleares International College is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education based upon inspection by the British HMI and is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS), and also a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). It is also a registered examination centre for The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

Sa Porrassa Campus

Baleares International College, Sa Porrassa, is located on the edge of open countryside in the beautiful area of Sa Porrassa in Calvià. BIC Sa Porrassa has a variety of excellent facilities including: indoor sports centre, playing fields with sports pitches, a swimming pool, all- weather basketball, football and volleyball courts, ICT suite and science laboratories. The classrooms are all air-conditioned for the summer and heated for the winter. Lunches are cooked in the school’s own kitchen and are both nutritional and balanced.

The academic programme prepares students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations, which will enable them to enter the university of their choice anywhere around the world.

Sant Agustí Campus

Baleares International College, Sant Agustí, has excellent facilities for Primary age children including large, brightly lit and well-equipped classrooms as well as specialist facilities such as a library, music and art rooms, and a spacious dining room with views out to sea. The students also have access to excellent sports facilities nearby and take part in a variety of sports including sailing, beach volleyball and swimming.

The school has a warm, friendly atmosphere and a strong community feel. Each child is treated as a unique individual and the school aims to instil in them a sense of curiosity and a love of learning that will continue throughout their lives. After completing their Primary education at Sant Agustí, children have the opportunity to transition to BIC’s Sa Porrassa campus to begin their Secondary education.
